How do I select a CLEARLINE model for Viking Yachts? 


For Viking Yachts with Centralized SeaWater System (CSW) follow the steps below. Note: CSW is included in most Viking Yachts built after 2014.
CLEARLINE Model CL-2000-X2.0 and CL-1000-X1.5 includes several special features such as Pump Control and Inhibit for Viking Yachts:
  • Pump Control:  This feature automates the manual process of switching between Pump 1 and Pump 2.  This keeps the seawater pumps exercised and may improve pump longevity. Pump Control acts as a timed switch between your vessels seawater switches and pumps.  The automatic switching duration can be set from 10 minutes to 72 hours. CLEARLINE's Model CL-2000-X2.0 and CL-1000-X1.5 Pump Control wiring connects directly Viking Yachts Centralized Seawater System.  To learn more go to Pump Control.

  • Inhibit: This feature turns the CLEARLINE System off if there are any consumers on the seawater pump flow circuit that should not receive chlorinated seawater.  CLEARLINE Model CL-2000-X2.0 and CL-1000-X1.5 can be wired to receive a signal from (1) 24VDC or 12VDC, and/or (1) 240VAC or 120VAC input from equipment such as a Baitwell or Reverse Osmosis (R.0.) Water System that are incompatible with chlorine. These wired inputs trigger the CLEARLINE System to “inhibit” (stop) the generation of chlorine. CLEARLINE will flash the word "Inhibit" on the status screen and the green Inhibit LED will be illuminated.  To learn more go to Inhibit.
  1. Locate your seawater (raw water) pump that feeds your vessels air conditioning, cooling or other equipment that you want to use with CLEARLINE.

  3. Determine the raw water pump output size and select based pipe size and flow rate: 
  4. If the pump output and hose attached to the output are the same diameter, then select a CLEARLINE model from the table below.

  6. CLEARLINE MODEL 
  7. - CL-2000-X2.0 should be used for flow rates between 50 and 75 GPM.
  8. - CL-1000-X1.5 should be used for flow rates less than 50 GPM. DO NOT USE CL-1000-X1.5 if the flow rate is greater than 50 GPM.

  10. NOTE:  ONLY CLEARLINE MODEL CL-2000-X2.0 and CL-1000-X1.5 INCLUDES PUMP CONTROL AND INHIBIT FEATURES.

  12. NOTE:  For Viking Yachts 72' and larger may require two CLEARLINE Systems.  Contact ElectroSea or your local dealer for more information.  



Note: If the pump hose output diameter is different than the pump output then select a CLEARLINE model that best matches the pump output hose and flow rate. It is not recommended to use a CLEARLINE model that is smaller than the pump output or pump output hose. For example, if the raw water pump output is 1 1/2", then you must use CL-1000 or CL-990. Do NOT use CL-430 as it only supports raw water flow for systems up to 1.0" and 26 gpm. Air conditioning, cooling and other equipment is sized for your vessel based on pump output, pipe size and flow. Restricting seawater flow by selecting a CLEARLINE model that is too small could cause irreparable damage to the vessel's equipment.
