Attached are two images that can be used for both troubleshooting pump control, as well as inital wiring of pump control to Viking Yachts Central Seawater (CSW) System. When connecting CLEARLINE's pump control to a CSW there are a few considerations to take:

  1. 1. Identify the type of switch used for the Seawater Pump control. The switches may be either single or double pole, and if the seawater pumps use an external VFD, additional relays may be needed.
  2. 2. Wiring MAY change depending on the where the CLEARLINE unit was installed. For example: the Viking factory may connect some of the control wires into the DIN Rail, or  the original installer may connect either the 24VDC+ and 24VDC- to a different, but acceptable location.
  3. 3. Always make sure the pumps are shut off via the pump control switch and it is reccomended to turn the breaker for the pumps off as well.
  4. 4. The pump control wires are a small wire gauge, so make sure when connecting wires to a power supply, or DIN Rail, ensure wires make good connection.
  5. 5. It is possible on the double pole switches that the wire connections may vary depending on which side of the switch the ground (yellow wire) is connected. Make sure to follow the diagram and read the wire chart.
  6. Any unused wires in the pump control harness need to be safely and securely fastened.

After making all the nessicary wire connections, when either pump is selected and the Control Unit is in the proper Pump Mode, the led lights should light up properly according to the pump selection. When the Control Unit is set to PUMPS 1&2 ALTERNATIING, pump one runs first by default, the LED will illuminate, and the pump will run for the selected time. For testing purposes ONLY, you may select alternation every 10 minutes, but make sure to set the time back to the number of hours your prefer afterwards.
